Michaela DeSoucey is a PhD student in Sociology, expecting to receive her degree in Spring 2009. She is interested in the nexus of markets, movements, and the state around issues of consumption, morality, and food. Her dissertation is about the controversies and bans of foie gras in the United States and France.
