The
third quarter will be devoted to the supervision of student
research projects, culminating in presentations to the seminar
and a thesis paper. The students will meet once a week in tutorials
with their Graduate Teaching Fellows. There will be meetings
of the entire seminar in weeks one and three to compare notes
on progress across groups. A first draft of the thesis is due
in the sixth week of the quarter. The entire seminar will resume
two meetings a week for weeks seven through nine for student
presentations. Final drafts of the thesis are due at the end
of week nine. Faculty and Graduate Teaching Fellows will evaluate
and comment on final papers.
